Questions
Before you apply.
The questions applicants ask most, answered by the admissions office.
All FAQsWhat is the difference between a PGDM and an MBA?
An MBA is a degree awarded by a university, while a PGDM is a diploma awarded by an autonomous, AICTE-approved institution. A PGDM curriculum is set by the school itself, so it is revised faster and stays closer to current industry practice. For recruitment and further study, an AICTE-approved PGDM is treated on par with an MBA.
Is the VSOB PGDM approved by AICTE?
Yes. The two-year full-time PGDM at Vishveshwarya School of Business is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India.
Who is eligible to apply?
Graduates in any discipline from a recognised university, with minimum aggregate marks as per AICTE norms. A valid CAT / MAT / XAT / CMAT score is preferred. Final-year students may apply, provided they complete their degree before the programme begins.
How are students selected?
Selection is based on your application, entrance-test score where available, and a personal interview that assesses academic record, communication, work experience and career goals.
How long is the programme and how is it structured?
The PGDM is a two-year, four-semester full-time programme. The first year builds core management foundations; the second year is driven by your chosen specialisation, a summer internship and a capstone industry project.
